External Accounts
External accounts are accounts provided to users outside the organization, such as contractors, vendors, or business partners, to access specific SaaS platforms or resources. These accounts introduce additional security risks if not properly managed, as they may retain access beyond their required usage or lack adequate authentication measures. To mitigate these risks, organizations should enforce strict access controls, review permissions regularly, and implement time-bound or task-specific access for external accounts. Monitoring external account activity ensures alignment with organizational security policies.
