Generative AI
A subset of artificial intelligence (AI) that uses advanced machine learning models to create new content, such as text, images, audio, video, and code. Generative AI systems are trained on large datasets and leverage patterns in that data to generate outputs that mimic human-like creativity and logic. While widely used in applications such as content creation, customer support, and automation, generative AI poses unique security risks, including data privacy violations, model misuse, intellectual property infringement, and potential exploitation by threat actors for malicious purposes. In the context of SaaS security, generative AI's adoption requires robust measures to secure training data, protect against misuse, and mitigate risks associated with its outputs.
